Default Need some help.

I have on 06 truck my problem is: Thee roof rails on my truck. The passangers side is bowed. The first one was replaced under warrenty when I got it back the replacement was worst then the first. The dealer called me back and told me that they ordered a new set to replace both sides. The replacement rail on the drivers side is fine, as was the first. But the passangers side rail is still bowed. The service writer told me today that BOTH rails were bowed and that is how they are supposed to be. I have a loaner 07 which does not have this problem. Does anybody else have this problem? If so do you have any pics laying around?

The other problem that I am having is: When I am driving the truck and it has reached full temperature and I stomp on it for less then a few seconds the temp gauge drops down about half way from where the needle usually sits. Then goes back up to the normal range in seconds. The dealer said they replaced the temp sensor, and did something with the waterpump, but it still does it. They took out a "random" truck on the lot and said that it does the same thing. Does anyone else have this presistant problem, particulary those in colder climates?

I think he means it still doesn't fit properly.

Joey, was the dealer sure he got the new stock and didn't just pull new old stock from the warehouse?

As far as the temp guage goes, not sure if mine does it, but it doesn't sound like an issue to me.

Well is it that the roof rails dont fit in or the actual thing that the roof rail slides into is messed up???

I have a good relationship with the parts dep because of Carey. So I know that the parts are new. The plastic dosen't lay flat on the roof on the passenger side, it curves up about 1/2 inch at the top of the curve. The curve on the first one was only 4 to 6 inchs long. The second rail curved 2x that. Now after talking to service, he said that the curves are the same on both sides.

my roof rail are also bowed or warped nesr the middle, about half inch. told the service dept but they didnt do anything, i dont see it as a problem unless water intrusion is an issue or looks. It cant be seen without getting on top, and i dont really know if it can let water in.

As for teh temp drop, i beleive that is normal. mine does it. Someone said something about this on here before. the reason for this is when you increase teh rpm of teh engine the cooling system gets to do its job, theres a higher rate of flow thtough the cooling system, so it is more efficient at taking away the heat. I bet f5 would be able to tell you for sure, but i think it is absolutely normal. actually now that i think of it he might have been the one who stated that about the cooling system, im not sure thou.

My drivers side roof rail was bowed and when I complained to my dealer they replaced it immediately saying that it was warped. They replaced both sides so they would match. I'm still not real sure how the roof rails warped as I don't even have the crossbows and have never even put anything on the top. Hell I'd never even been up top until I decided to wash the sunroof. That's when I noticed that the drivers side was warped. Anyway- your service dept should replace them.

First of all that sounds like a bunch of malarkey if you ask me. Mine doesn't do it, and I spent this last 3 day weekend in temps ranging from -9 to 10 degrees F, with no adverse effects on temp gauge. Anytime in the past when the happened it has been the the temp sensor, but with all the computers introduced now on late models it could be some kind of relay thats fouling up.

I can take pics of my H3 rails for you tonite and post them. I had mine inspected by Hummer dealer, and I know the service manager there, so I know that mine is the way it is supposed to be. Maybe look for another dealer, these guys sound like a bunch of lazy douchebags. Godd Luck!
