Default air suspention question

when the compresor is disabled due too dtc could it also lock out the tire inflator ! truck was parked for a while suspention bottomed out when truck was started copressor would not raise suspention but inflator was working. lowered compressor too trouble shoot and tire inflator stoped operating . any ideas thanks

You lowered the compressor? So im assuming you disconnected the ground at the back? Wont run without the ground, or i am missing what your saying?

not sure either.


If you turn the truck off and leave the hose hoooked up to the compressor fitting, your air bags will deflate.

Is that what happened?

lets start whith this question, when the compressor gets locked out due too to many dtc, should you still be able too use the tire inflator !

Make sure all the doors on the truck are closed. The truck will not auto level (but the tire inflate feature will) if any of the doors are open.

This thread got me under the back of my '06 SUT this afternoon to look at the air bags. Is the compressor back there somewhere in plain sight or am I going blind?
PS Thanks HunninNBoatin after all these years I never knew that about the auto level with a door ajar.

The comp is right in front and above the rear bumper
