Default Hummer 100

So I kinda want to see how many people have done 100MPH+ in their hummer? Yes I know it's built for the complete opposite BUT I just couldn't resist getting on the freeway lastnight and not pulling my lead foot off the gas for a few miles.. Will post a pic soon I took one while doing it but jerked as I pressed the button and only got a shot of the 120 mark on the spedo and how many miles I have left lol. So yea who has done it?

Ya right 100 mph, I figured they run out of gas long before they reach that speed.

Nope I didnt even lose one mile on my range doing it, I get pretty good MPG in town and highway unless I am just getting on it to hear that amazing sound. BTW Same day I did the 100 run I had a yellow H2 pull up next to me at a light and I am guessing it was a newer year because the interior did not look as cheap as the 03 but anyways thats when it hit me that I must have some aftermarket stuff under the hood because not only did mine sound better than theirs it also got up and went quicker than theirs even though we didnt race they kinda got on it a second and I did to and it was like a huge jeep next to me but I dunno lol. I need to post pics of mine on here since I havent done that yet.

Ive had ours up to just right at the 100mph mark, Im sure it would go a bit quicker..... I dont think 110-120 would be a problem at all.... may take a while to get there but it will do it.

Its is amazing to see how quickly people will switch lanes to get out of the way of a Hummer doing 100.

But of course I have never done that **cough**

Cranked it going south to Lethbridge...124mph scary! Darn wind hitting the cab felt like it was about to tear the truck apart. But talk about mpg savings at 105 mph, I think I was getting 20mpg!! Yeah really...I wouldnt lie....it might have even closer to 25mpg. Could have gotton better but some stupid cameltoe got in the way and ruined everything.

20-25 MPG. Really MDimitri? Quit fibbing!

I have taken an Alberta H2s out for a spin on the Alberta flats. 15MPG (can gallon) at 55mph on cruise control, and a lot worse when going faster than that. I would like to see anyone get better on a Canadian Gallon (Way bigger than US gallon, same as the dollar not too long ago).

It's just physics. Wind resistance kicks in, and gas mileage decreases. Ultimately more gas does not make it go any faster, because it reaches its terminal velocity for that vehicle/engine combo..

So I am guessing that you really maybe got 8-10 MPG at that speed?

Is it just me or does it seem when you stomp on it, you can watch the speedo going up, but it just won't plane?

Don't H2s have limiters? I've taken mine up to 100 but it just seems to cut out at that point. I frequently drive across the state of Florida coast to coast and its just miles of empty road to myself, but I hit 100 and then it just stops. I don't know that I would want to do over 100 though... The whole thing starts to vibrate and shudder, sounds like its about to just shatter into a million different nuts and bolts.

We drive ours at 75 to 80mph all the time and it will do 100+ easily.
Not sure if the larger wheels and tires help or if the axle ratio(s) have
been changed. For such a large truck ours will really get up and go.
