Has anyone removed the Resonator from the exhaust system? What is its function? I was thinking of adding a Flowmaster muffler, and wanted to see if I am able to remove it without having problems.

I just installed the Flowmaster exhaust. I would keep the resonator. I actually chose the Flowmaster system over others because of the resonator. It really shouldn't have a significant effect on flow, but helps cancel out resonance caused by the exhaust which can result in a droning sound while you drive (very annoying after awhile).

Even the newbie got it right... it won't make any difference by removing it.
