Nothing like leaving a lady hanging Alec.
CP, Alec is correct as far as he went with his advice. After pressing print screen you need to open your image editing program i.e photoshop, photo paint, open a new blank document that is the same size as your desktop (unless you want to scale the image) then hit control V to paste the image you have captured into the clip board onto the new document, flatten the document and save as a jpeg...

That is one way to get it on here. Exactly like Fubar said but you probably also have to hit the Function key when you hit the print screen key. Also, if you are using Photoshop it will automatically size the new file to whatever is in your clipboard so you don't have to worry about that.
