Default Finish on stock wheels

Has anybody else had problems with the finish on the stock wheels?
I've got peeling/flaking inside the windows of both of my front wheels.
I believe that they will be covered under warrantee, but I'm wondering if they will just do it again after another newengland winter.

chrome? If so, the inside of those should have a textured finish to them. If that window is smoothe, you have the older style chrome rims on there and they may just switch them out to the new style. My first set of chrome...back in 03, I had the same thing happen along with "copper marks" all over the chrome. They did a warranty the first set, and two months later had it done again. I ended up having them blasted and PC'd black at that point.

They are the textured style. I'm planning to just run them in the winter anyway, but I might as well start out with them right and go from there.

Here's what I'm talking about. Sort of blistering.

Mine are doing the same thing. I'm thinking about grinding off all the textured chrome and painting.

Did they replace all 4? My two fronts are only showing the blistering at the moment. The rears are ok but look sketchy also. only 15k on the truck.

Hummer just replaced all 5 of my wheels (yes the spare too) as they were blistering and the barrels were peeling.... no questions asked, they also replaced my spare tire latch/D ring assembly as it has a bit of rust on it. I keep the thing immaculate and it gets rinsed/washed at least once a week over winter.

Over the years I had found GM service to be sub par but my experience with Hummer has been great, a step above what I have been used to thats for sure. After owning Acuras for the past 9 years I have gotten spoiled with the whole service/warranty experience as they have simply amazing customer service.

Just heard from the dealer today that they don't believe the wheels are covered. They say that the chrome is covered but the textured/windows are not. What the F*&^*& talk about splitting hairs. The sales manager has asked me to wait until next week and he will talk to GM to see what they can do.

They covered the flaking on all 5 of my wheels. I went to baierl Hummer, in Wexford PA. They were great. They even replaced my headliner because I complained that mine was loose.
