I thought I read somewhere recently that there is a move by someone to consider the H1 an "Exotic" vehicle. Does anyone have any information about this? If so, what would the implications be to H1 owners?

I believe that it already is considered an exotic vehicle. Why? High cost, low volume. I think some people were even considering the D-90 to be an exotic (in a sence) vehicle.

It already is classified as an Exotic vehicle.

As for implications - not much.

The reasons why there are few implications is that the parts are still readily available. There are only a few parts that are unique (the diff, the geared hubs, the halfshafts).

If you know where to look, and get the right cross references, you can get parts pretty easily.

Most exotics force you to go towards specific routes to get parts and service.

I've had mine for 6 months and also learn something new all the time. This weekend, I learned the sub woofer is water proof and has a drain plug. BTW, this is NOT me, but someone else with our group this weekend.

That's pretty funny, OMA... I've had mine buried in mud, but never "sunk"...
