Default wheel balancing

I rotated the tires on my h2 and was going have them balanced, the shop put them on the balancer and said they were good to go,thing is the rims all have lots of weights on them. there is no shimmy even at 80mph.possible problem down the road?

Default Re: wheel balancing

i think you answered your question already...

when tires are mounted to the rim, that is when they are normally balanced, not when you rotate. im sure you could balance them then, but thats pretty much giving them free money.

if your not noticing any issues while driving.. why are you concerned about balancing them?

the weights just make up for the imperfections on both the rim and the tire.
maybe someone here can better explain that more than i can.. but if everythign is balanced...

but then again it is about about$10 or so bucks per tire to balance.. who am i to tell you to do with your $$$
