My 12 year old son is a defenseman on the L.A. Jr. Kings AA level peewee ice hockey team. Today they won the "Toast of the Coast" Thanksgiving tournamet in Valencia, CA. Here's the photo.

congrats!!!! i remember those days!!! In my opionion youth hockey is the best sport to compete in!!!!! man do I miss it!!!!!

Thanks for all the kind thoughts.
Regarding taking them out for ice cream to celebrate, the kids had to play 5 games in 4 days to win the tournament. When it was over, everyone was so exhausted, we all just went home. Believe it or not, most of them are working on their power skating today (the day after the tournament).

again, youth hockey teaches more discipline then many other sports!!!
