Default Stereo help

Ok, I have everything out of my truck right now to wire in the amp.
The front seats are out
The rear seat is removed and repositioned (since it is only me, I wasnt able to actually remove the seat from the truck).
The center console is removed completely except for the shifter mechanism, and the Bose amp. Everything else is unplugged and removed with the console.

Now, I pull the stereo out and hook up the PAC adapter.
I test it to see if everything is ok.
Nope, no sound. I have power and everything works fine, except I have no sound.

Ok, so I disconnect everything and plug the stereo back in like it was factory. Turn the car on and test the radio. No sound again.
I was like wait a minute.... So then I was wondering if the Bose system blew a fuse or something.

So I am wondering what you guys think?
Does the rear stereo have to be connected for everything to work?
Where is the interior fuse box in the H2?
Which fuse would be the stereo / Bose amp fuse?

Any help would be great.

Plug the rear stereo controls back in and test...I'm pretty sure they have to be connected, at least to get rear audio with an aftermarket head unit. They won't actually DO anything, but they just need to be connected.

Also, I was 'advised' (by a tech at Crutchfield...years ago) that while the factory head unit is in and running, you should center your Fader and Balance and turn your rear volume all the way up (using the controls on the rear-seat panel). I guess the Bose amp stores some balance/volume info that an aftermarket unit cannot access, so this balances everything out.

Hmm interesting.

You know I wonder really who designs some of this stuff.
I mean what happen to the easy basic, everything wired separately.

Now I find that my key wont come out since the center console in all out.
I mean it is cool to intergrate, but guys come on now.

Thats like my Vette shutting down because the seat throws a code.

Yeah...you've got to plug one of those connectors in the console back up to get the key out. I can't remember if it's the big one or the little one...or pop the bottom off your steering column and press the release button...fun times!

Did you get your audio working?

Not yet.
Considering that the whole interior is out so I can wire the amp in, I figured I would keep it out until the amp gets here. Then once everything is in place, I can check and see.

Plus I have cut new padding too, and it rained out last night so wont be doing that today (want to make sure it is completely dry out)
