Transmission help please
Hi Guys
Need some help 2003 transmission noise ,,well on a cold start tranny makes a little noise and when it heats up it goes, never done that before well I think it didn't ,,had a clean out about 30k sitting at 60k now one month ago upgraded the tranny pan to give it more capacity ,,so replaced fluid not all of course but around half as the rest sits in there, so any ideas what it could be,,,color is good no smell and no slipping ,,levels are good to ...:

now what happens with the transfer case would that make a noise ,,all gears are working lower lock etc all work ,,I am a bit confused with this

Well had a lot looking at this thread but no response,,,anyway this morning stuck it up on the ramp and its strange the noise is coming from the centre passenger side ,,it sounds like a rattle or a bearing ,its a lot louder when cold, we looked at the transfer case and thought it maybe it so checked the levels and changed the oil at same time ,,,but I thought when things are cold there would be less noise due to the oil being thicker ,,and the noise would get louder when it heats up ...ANYWAY there is no parts moving there when engine is on idle i.e. transfer case or Transmission when in park , so in some respects I feel a little happier ,so what the hell can it be ..now I have a Twin pipe Magna Flow fitted ,,its seems it could be something in the Exhaust or the The Cats , has anybody got any ideas as this drives me Nuts
