Default Browns Camp

Went to Browns Camp over the weekend. There was still lots of snow up there. Very busy with lots of atvs and dirt bikes. Saw a couple of rock buggies and an old Mercedes Military transport. Only got a couple of pics, but did get some good video. Here are the pics, video soon to follow.

This was a still I grabbed from the video. The trail is Firebreak Five and was muddy and slippery on the rocks.

I took this when I got out to see what I was hung up on.

Overall my rig did pretty well, definitely want to get some bigger mud terrains to improve traction. I did get stuck, but not on these difficult trails. I was driving down service road covered in snow. I started to slide and next thing I know I am knee deep in snow and stuck. I had just started to dig myself out when someone stopped and helped pull me out.

I am starting to think there is something wrong with the traction control. It will randomly give the message "traction failed" when driving on the freeway (dry pavement). On the trail sometimes it hooks up right away and transfers power. Other times it doesn't transfer power and my wheels continue to spin. A couple of times the front wheels do not moving at all.

Here are a couple of videos!

Enjoy!! They were taken with a Sony HD camcorder, the original video looks awesome, too bad it has to be compressed to be shared online.

Thanks for the movie impressive with stock tires and no winch.
Mud and snow don't give much traction especially when going up hill and the weight of the hummer.

Its nice if you can just throw away the stock tires and get some toyo's slapped on them. Right now I am hoping for a 4 tire blowout so I can get some a little more agressive than the stock tires.

Thumbs up Re: Browns Camp

Nice pix H3Slate...thx. BTW, which Yakima rack do you have, the Load Warrior or Mega Warrior? Also, do you have the extension that makes it longer, or is it just the reg rack?

Thanks

Gary

I have the mega warrior without the extension. With the extension it would probably cover my sunroof. I like the rack a lot, for me it is nice to be able to easily put it on or take it off when i need to.
