I have to say the FJ does extremely well off-road and is comparable with the H3. The funny part is every time I go off-road. I am always the only H3 in a group of 10 to 20 FJ?s with a couple of jeeps thrown in for good luck? I think the only thing that limits anyone of the vehicles is the drivers experience and how it is set up for off-road. Oh, but I do know that most of the Jeeps I wheel with avoid sand hills?. Could be due to the short wheel base of the Jeep?
