Shelves
I am looking to add some shelves to my garage in hopes of making sense of my stuff instead cramming it into corners, etc. I would like to put something up that is INEXPENSIVE and looks good all in the same. I am pretty good with the labor. Anyway, if anyone has suggestions as to similar things they have done, please enlighten me. I really appreciate any help with this....thank you....Jamie

whatever you do attach them to the bottom of your rafters, so they don't touch the floor...

Re: Shelves
I'm using the metal ones you can get at any hardware store.
Something like this:
Shelves at Home Depot
I'm considering pulling them all out and putting in upper kitchen cabinets all over the place. It's cheaper than using garage specific stuff and works just as well, IMO.
I also have three of these:
Plastic storage cabinet
And one of these:
18" deep storage shelves
I made a 6' work bench out of lower kitchen cabinets and counter top. I need to install 1/4" ply on across the back to tighten it up more because I want to mount large casters on the bottom so I can move it around.

Re: Shelves
I would use slot wall along the walls and then you can just buy different shelves and attatchment to serve your means. I have then on both walls of the garage and just move the shelves around when I want to re-configure space. One of the best things you can do is move all you can to the walls and ceiling. Any un-used space is wasted space!
