I am pretty new here and wondered how to start a club in Arkansas. Any help would be appreciated.

It's easy to do, if you're willing to take some time to build it up.

The biggest three things that will be needed are time, email, and web hosting space.

As an example - the Arizona Hummer Owners Group went from about 20 people on a simple mailing list, to nearly 90 in 18 months, with a complete web site, representation on the Arizona Off Highway Vehicle council, and other stuff like that.

So - if you're willing to spend the time to do it, it'll grow.

No problem.

This may sound sacreligious (coming from a director of the national Hummer club), but following the roots of IHOG is the best way to start the club up.

Since the IHOG site is down, the basics of IHOG clubs are:

Promote Camaraderie among owners and clubs
Promote off road responsibility (Tread Lightly!)
Increase mechanical and product awareness of the Hummer
Particpate in Charity and community events.

To view the pre-crashed IHOG site, you can visit the Internet Wayback machine at web.archive.org. You can then type in www.ihog.info as the URL to view in the archive.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

Does this mean if I move back Home, I get to start a group called IDAHOG?
Actually, it would have lots of owners in it. Every time I'm there I see more H2's than I have in the Portland, OR area. Oh yeah! There aren't any Libs in Idaho. Plus it's never been spit on anywhere other than Oregon.
