Default Memory seats - setup with keyfob?

Hey guys: Our 2006 and 2007 H2s do not tie in the seat position wth the memory key fobs. I can ONLY change the seat memory position from #1 to #2 by pressing the buttons on the door. It will not work with a keyfob. What am I doing wrong?

On other GM vehicles (like our Corvette), pressing the keyfob automatically moves the driver's seat to the corresponding position. It does NOT do this with the H2. At least not on the 2006 and 2007 that I can find. Our 2006 was a Canadian model. Our current 07 is a USA model.

Is there a way to move the seat automatically by pressing the keyfob? How do you do this? Is it a preference programming thing? I can not find any reference to it in the owner's manual.

Can anyone help with this?

I too have the same issue with my 07. I know when I had my Avalanche, key fob 1 set it up for me each time I hit the fob. Any help would be great. I did try the steering wheel option, and that didn't help.

No, I can not find any option for the seats setup in the personalization menu.

This is really weird, since most GMs are set up to do this if they have memory seats. Why would the newer H2 not do this?

Maybe some guru H2 technician like "Hummtech" knows how to set it up?

Red face Re: Memory seats - setup with keyfob?

I was told by the service manager that the h2 memory seats no longer work with the key fob, that they had too many problems.
i have a 2006 and i never had the fob work with the memory seats.
if someone here has got them to work, please let us know how you got it to work.

I believe they stopped that feature in 05.

I just got an 05 how do you use this feature? This might explain why my seat changes location every once in awhile.

Had a problem with my 04, the seat wouldn't move. They had to reprogram the BCM (Body control module) then it seemed fine.

Now the one in my truck doesn't work

I don't think 05's have this feature. There could be a reprogram of the driver's seat module for memory creep. You would have to check with your dealership.
