I almost bought the sunset orange one today but when I had a carfax run on it, the 2003 H2 with only 14K miles had four owners! Never mind the rust issues, I can't trust something like that, or can I? Something is fishy... No wonder the price was so damn low.

Kacy, definitely walk away. With the history the H2 has, imho you can't "afford" to look for lowest price for a used truck. 2 cents..

Do not walk away, RUN.
Before I bought new I thought about the idea of used and as few H2's there are in Arkansas anyway pickins were slim. So I watched Ebay and watched used prices get up close to new. within 10G's regularly on 04's. I finally decided for the difference in warranty left and the high tech involved to go new. But, before that I had a friend that has a large used lot and a Dodge dealership at another location so He started watching for Me. He would go off to Nashville etc. Dallas also and We were shocked at how high the wholesale is on these rigs. He brought back an 03 yellow once and I would have to pay $37,500 wholesale and it came from Dallas. It had 25,000 miles but it was super nice I passed and He drove it a little while and sold it to someone out of state. The H2 is one of the more computer monitored and operated rigs than most other vehicles. I looked at new Escalades etc. and they were either same price or just 5g's lower. I said what the heck and went down and bought new 05 H2. Kacy I do not know about where you are but, in Little Rock they have been advertising $7000 off MSRP for H2's and back in Dec. 04 on top a rebate of some kind. First time I have ever seen advertised discount in our area. That puts the price on new H2 near what I negotiated back in May 04 for My 05. I wish You could find a good deal on a new one either 04 or 05 because of the small difference in purchase price. If You want to call and talk to Dealer here I'll go personally to Tracy and set up contact. I'll pick you up at airport and yes we do have a large airport, Little Rock Int. Well I'll help here in My area anyway I can. You could by it without tires and rims and I'll sell you My 05 chrome for way less the sticker would charge. Well just my 2 cents or like My daughters tease me i should not forget I got just 1 cent. Let Me know if i can help. You could drive it or for not to much ship it.

I wish I had a carfax account. A friend of mine is a GM at a Toyota dealership and he did it as a favor. However, someone once taught me a trick. If you go to www.carfax.com you can punch in a VIN, then it tells you how many comments there is about that car. If it's a newer car, it should normally have an average of 3 comments. But in my case, there were 8. What I've been told is that if there are issues on a newer car, you will have multiple comments. Try it, you'll see what I mean.

The wife and I saw a Yellow H2 tonight. It looks fantastic. It's a one owner (local) and has a carfax to prove it. If all goes well tomorrow, I'll have H2 again!

I really don't count on car fax too much...

A few years back I traded in a car that had $4000 in damage and been repaired a couple years earlier, the dealer ran a car fax and said it was clean and gave me a good trade.

Just be aware that you still can get a wreaked car with a good car fax.
