The area is the center of the RV (Recreational Vehicle) and Manufactured Housing industries, as well as the Band Instrument industry, with a number of other communications and pharmaceutical companies, and AM General (manufacturers of the Hummer).
South Bend is also home to the University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary's College, two of the most prestigious Catholic universities in the country. The area population is made up of a number of immigrant groups, including Hungarian, German, Polish, Irish and Greek, with a growing Asian and Hispanic population in the 1990's. There are also Amish and Mennonite communities in nearby Nappanee and Shipshewana.

Simple recon, copy and paste. 3 seconds of my life to make sure that Arizona Hummerboy was sure where/what Michiana really was.

Stupid Question.
Ever since I bought my H3, I thought an H2 would look cute next to it. the Vette came off lease, and, what the Hell, I've owned a vette for 21 years. Let's try an H2. See signature. Question. Are all H2s still made in South Bend?

Re: Stupid Question.
Yes. The H3s are GM maufactured (no negative reflection intended, H3ers!) but the H2s are still made at the Hummer facilities in Indiana.
(And yes, to those morons who think we don't know that there are a BUTTLOAD of suburban parts on a H2, WE DO).

Question. Are all H2s still made in South Bend?
That is a Yes and No Question
The Hummer Plant is in Michiana, right next to South Bend.

Also, FWIW
Michiana is an area, not a town or place. It's just the area of Indiana and Michigan around South Bend.

Re: Stupid Question.
I have been to the Hummer Plant in Mishawaka. And to the Hummer Academy in South Bend.
And I found this sign at the Airport there.
