FJ Owner
I had parked in the local parking lot down town and was half way to the bank when I saw this Yellow FJ pull in. He waited until the spot next to my H3 opened up and parked there and waited for me. For 20 mionutes he clamored how great his FJ was and how all the magazines picked it over the H3 (I pointed out that the motor trend's articles most important line was "if we had to drive the trail ourselves, the H3 would be our choice"). He talked how consumer report rated the H3 among the worst blah blah blah... As my patients were wearing down when four hot college interns from my employer walked by and came running over... They were telling me home they love the H3 , how cool it was and crawling in and all thru it. The FJ owner just stood there as they ignored him just like they did his FJ. As they left to go back to work I looked at him and simply asked, any other comments? he sheepishly walked to the bank

Re: FJ Owner
I had a funny experience in my H3. I was stopped at a light on a 4 lane avenue in San Jose and a brand new (no plates yet) silver shiny FJ pulled up along side. Inside the FJ was a father and his 9 or 10 year old boy. The boy kept pointing and looking at my dirty white H3. Probably the kid was telling his father he should have bought the H3 . Sometimes kids know best.

Re: FJ Owner
I have started to see a lot of FJ's around town. They look all cute and round, but would like to see how they do off-road.

FJ's are still ugly despite popularity, in my opinion.

FJ's outselling H3's, but at least the Hummer is still somewhat exclusive.

Re: FJ Owner
I'm seeing a lot of FJ's around here, too. Interestingly enough, mostly high school/college kids or mothers with babies driving them. I had a woman park next to me at the drugstore. She looked inside mine and remarked how roomy it was. I looked in hers and before I could say it, she said, "I know, it's really small inside." She was right. It's bubbly round on the outside, small on the inside.

Re: FJ Owner
I love Toyota's but, they really fu**ed up by trying to recreate the FJ-40
the FJ Cruiser is nothing like the 40. The interior is very cheap and the ground clearence sucks. the only positive words I can say is that it has a great engine.

Re: FJ Owner
They should have made it a real 4-door and with an off road package with a low t-case and bigger tires.
I don't like the wide pillar it blocks to much visability
You can't beat a Toyota for reliability!

Re: FJ Owner
My ex loved the FJ and really wanted me to get one, but there was too much I didn't like about it.
Props to the FJ aftermarket tho ... they're really stepping up (probably cause the it needs so much help )
