I had one installed with the Indash Elclispes Navi. The put the camera by the license plate and used the screws/nuts that were there for hte light. I really wanted the camera to be in the Center cap of the spare tire. But they could not come up with a quick disconnect feature in the event I needed the spare.
It really is fine where they put it, though it takes a time or two of use to get used to it. But the wide angle covers both sides of the vehicle in excellent fashion. It really is Wide angle.

Hey... it costed me about 800 including installation.
The one mistake I made is not installing a light to go off when I put my car in reverse. At night, there are times when the only light is coming from my tail lights.

I would like to put my back up camera in the same spot as Ely. Can some one recomend something that will work with the AVIC-N2 unit, and where I can purchase it. Thanks.

Make sure your rear is clear, and watch out when backing up. Just something that cannot be stressed enough.
Thanks

Another nice unit is the Eclipse BackEye cam. It is actually smaller than the Pioneer and a little more flexible as far as mounting and aiming (angle). I like to mount them over the third brake light as that tends to give a much greater field of vision than down low and no need to worry about using a trailer.

Just a quick Question about the Rear View Mirrior monitor. Is that a clip onto the exsisting mirror or is that a whole new unit? Also is there a way to get the ONstar buttons either on an aftermarket RVM unit or to relocate the buttons somewhere else??

There are both clip on and hard mount versions available, but you would have to relocate the onstar buttons. I have not seen any yet that incorporate the buttons.
