Default DUB Air - intake system

I'm considering the dub-air intake system for my H2. www.dub-air.com. I did a search on this forum and saw that some of you have had it installed. How is the performance so far? Most people get the K/N filter but by Dub's claims, it's a lot better and sturdier. I know it looks better than any other intake systems out there but I'm more interested in the performance at this point. Please let me know your opinion?.

I like my K&N, but if I had to do it again, I'd probably go with Volant, as well.

FYI the factory air box is as good on a stock motor as anything made and won't give you water ingestion problems . it may not look KOOL but it works. when and if you put a supercharger,or other serious mods (heads and cam, headers or bored and stroked motor ) than by all means go for it but with a stock motor you will not need it and won't see any increse in power at the RPM's you will run your H2 at . if you must spend the money than Volant at least has a good box that keeps most of the engine copartment heat out and sucks in mostly cool air . and you will get that Kool sound with the factory silencer removed .

Thanks! that helps. So i guess it's better to upgrade everything all at once. seems like Volant s the way to go as well......but that dub is soooo damn shiny.......

if you're talking about performance mods, shotgunning is NOT the best way to do it.

Don't know what shotgunning is,but a supercharger with cast pistons and a stock set of heads and a stock cam and bottom end surely is not the way to make long term reliable power. it will supply a cheap thrill for a while untill the engine goes soft.
