Re: muffler
I was very close to putting a 50 series with resonator on my H2. Ended up going with the Magnaflow. Was afraid of the drone at highway speeds.

Re: muffler
If you want a sick sounding truck go with the 40 series I had them on my Escalade and it sounded beastly. I have the dynomax 4" on my H2 and love the way that sounds as well its a straight through design.

Re: muffler
Was given a Flowmaster 50 series big block muffler. Put it on in place of the stock muffler and wasn't happy, much too quiet to fit the profile of the H2. Went with a custom Y-Pipe into a single 5" Dynomax Bullet as I prefer the look and function of the stock set up. Saved roughly 30lbs in the process as my stock muffler weighed in at 36lbs with the bullet being 6lbs. The sound is now incredible!

Re: muffler
I was in a friend's H2 at a dealer offroad event three years ago that had Midas glasspacks on it and it sounded sweet and the noise was liveable. (I'm going to miss those Lynch dealer events!) It was definitely louder than my stock H2. He said the entire job cost $180 at a Midas shop and his mpgs were up about 1 mile per gallon. He also stated he had no hassle from the police with them either.

Re: muffler
For what its worth, Magnaflow carries a lifetime warrenty on their mufflers, cats and tips, this includes any rusting that may occur. I had a Magnaflow setup on my F150 and just before I went to sell it I had the muffler shop replace both mufflers and cats, cost me $45 in labor, 8 years after the origional install

Can you post pics and vid/sound of this? I am with you on the stock set up. If you truly offroad your truck the stock exhaust tail pipe set up is the best. One tail pipe will have more pressure and keep water out better at deep crossings. Not to mention the way the tail pipe is cut so you cannot crush it closed when coming down off of a huge ledge. The H3 guys are constantly pinching their tail pipes.

Ill post some pics when I get back into town on Monday. Wish I had a way to create a vid. Total price for my set up was $150 which included labor, the straight through muffler, and custom Y-Pipe at the local Meineke shop. Hit all of the undercarriage with undercoating, but even before there was little to no interior resonance. The outside sound is incredible!
