Default Hey fellow Hummer owners

Just got a white 03 H2 and joined the forum. My plans are as follows: leveling keys with Bilstein shocks, rear springs(scrap the air suspension), AirRaid Jr intake tube and filter, flowmaster muffler(local shop), and hopefully sooner than later Amp Research power steps. Looking forward to keeping everyone updated.

Welcome to the H2 crowd!
Sorry to hear you're ditching the bags, but I guess on earlier deuces they can get expensive. I've got 'em on our '07 and tow and they are fantastic!
I've heard alot of 2 owners say the factory intake works better and quiter than aftermarket; you might want to spend your money on another mod.....

I have a Volant airbox with their filter and will be order the Airdoc tube here shortly to complete the full intake. The main reason I went aftermarket wasn't for performance or sound but the cost savings. The price of the throw away filters for these things is crazy. A good reusable air filter and you're golden.

I swapped out the air springs for coils and had ZERO regrets. I liked the air springs but grew tired of having them go out at the worst possible times every year. I certainly didn't miss the sagging tail on the '03.

The stealership told me on numerous occasions that the compressor was "bad", yet it was working perfectly even after I did the swap. Factory coils and insulators, then T'd off the air line and left everything else in place.

Somewhere in parts heaven someone will reap benefits of new coils and all the other stuff I dumped into that beast before she was totalled.

Congratulations and welcome. I've had no problems with my air suspension on my '06 and I've had it since new. The people at Lynch told me to use it at least four times a year using the raise and lower button and to spray the air bags with Armorall two or three times a year. I like the ability to raise it because it really does help departure angles if you do any steep inclines.

Thanks y'all. I checked on that AirDoc tube and that seems pretty pricey. I really just want to replace the stock tube because it's hidious. I agree with the comments about the open air filters. My F150 has the FIPK on it and if I could find a stock box I would put it back on in a heartbeat. The AirRaid Jr kit cleans up the engine bay and retains the stock box that's why I decided on that one. When I get home from Africa and install it I'll let you know how it turns out.
