H2Newbie is off the scale

I have a 2003 H2 with lux and adventure package. I would like to level the truck out a bit. As it stand right now the front end is lower than the back. I was told that I could have the torsion (not sure the spelling) bars raised in the front and it would help level the truck out a bit. My question is this advise I was given true? If so how will it effect the ride?

In my experiance if you start jacking the front up it will become a bit more bouncy as you go.

I was afraid of that. I wanted to get some height in front without going to a lift. That does bring up another question. can you put a lift on an H2 with the Air ride? My guess is that it would eliminate the air ride if a lift is put on?

Be glad that you're only dealing with the front end being low. Mine sits with the rearend low. It's like pulling teeth to get the local dealer to admit that something is wrong. I did have hummer dealer tell me over the phone that something is wrong, just need to convince my local dealer... I was just comparing with another local h2 and my rearend sits about an inch lower than his....

My front end is sitting on the bump stops and we cranked the bolts all the way up, rode around, came back, and they were still sitting down on the stops. Back off of them a little and then did the alignment. There was is no "bounce" at all in the front.

I looked at 15 different 2005 H2s and all were different, if by just a little bit. About half were on the bump stops, some where raked to the front, some where sagging in the rear. No commonality among rear springs or air either.

You said it "used to sit low"....did you find a fix? (I know it's an old topic, but hey, mine's still not fixed yet.... )

That's funny, because I took the spare tire off and there's nothing but the third row seat in the back... I guess I'll just crank down the torsion bars before my next alignment.... Just hate to lose the ground clearance.

And that's odd, because I once knew a gal with junk in the trunk!
