I think it's all of the people who act like they are saving the environment so they get the Prius so they can tell all of their friends how environmentally conscious they are when in reality, they just bought an ugly car.

We have an '05 Eddie Bauer. No complaints, no issues. Its a solid SUV. Its a shame to see the Prius take over an icon...

heres a little something to chew on. I was sitting in a Chinese Restraunt the other day having lunch and was listening to a group near me. about 5-6 guys were discusing hybrid vehicles. they sounded like engineers from some forigen company. as they were tallking I caught a couple of them say wait till the vehicle in question hits the market because every 5 years the owner will have to go to the dealer and pay $5000 to replace the batteries! I was just chuckling in my stirfry when I heard this. if you think about the fact a hyrid is going to take as much as 17 years to break even on the extended costs then this should add a few years to that if its true.

And I am sure those batteries will conveniently be excluded from the warranty. Hell my laptop is only a year old and the batteries conked out. Still think its quirky technology at best.

When I think of my Explorer fondly. When I bought the H3 I orderd one and put up a internet add for the Ford. Based on a dealer promised delivery date...
Bout 1/2 hour after I pressed the button on the add some dude calls and shows up with his wife 2 hours later with cash to buy the exploder!
Of course I do it and Shreveport pulls my rig off the line for a 3 week quality control check so I am screwed.
Not the point. It sucks that The Breakthrough Ford explorer gets ousted by the Battery's included Prius
Going the way of the Bronco!
