Hummer headed to Russia

Sales of the Hummer H2 could soon be heading overseas to Russia. General Motors says it may start to assemble the H2 at Russia's Avtotor factory in Kaliningrad, Russia.

The city is located on the Baltic Sea.

Hummer plant officials tell us while all H2's would still be built in Mishawaka, the new plant would assist in re-assembling the vehicles to modify them in order to meet certain guidelines in Russia.

Avtotor's press secretary says an agreement is due to be signed on Wednesday.

Hey Guys,
I was just on a trip to St. Petersburg, Russia and I already saw a H2 there. It was a black one. I was quite surprized to see one there. What was really funny was that a buddy of mine from Italy that is always talking smack about Europeans being so forward thinking and not buying H2 like vehicles had just finished his speech about Hummers. He was of course taking a jab at me for mine. No sooner had he gotten the last word out of his mouth than the big black machine came rolling by. It couldn't have been more perfect. I just looked at him and agreed that some Europeans sure did have good taste. He hasn't said another word since.
