Re: Arizona carnage
Sounds pretty high! You can buy the centerlink with 2 new inner tierods for around 310$ (estimated, I bought for 280 a few years ago) gm parts direct , was the site I believe. Sounds like way too much for labor.

Re: Arizona carnage
You are brave riding around on 40's with factory tierods. Nice setup the non existing back windows is realy cool looking.

Re: Arizona carnage
typically when you break the inner tie rod the dealership tries to make you buy the entire centerlink assembly even though all you need to replace is the tie rod. As suggested, buy the tie rod only, better ones if you like. Get someone other than the dealership to do the work for much less.

Re: Arizona carnage
Too lazy to look in the forum, but since we're on this topic now, will the Fabtech tie rods work with stock suspension? I know they replace the OE version but will they work with a non-lifted suspension? Anyone?
Cheers!

Re: Arizona carnage
I am considering just buying all the parts and making my own set? Looks simple enough. Some spherical ends a couple of bolts and what looks like a sway bar end link???

Re: Arizona carnage
HIEM JOINTS FOR OFF ROAD ? are not the way to go, unless you plan on just cruseing VanBuren sporting your bling get the Fabtech tierods. noticed you are a used car dealer by your plate. so you should know better than to trust the word of a Hummer dealer ,he will high gross you to death .

Re: Arizona carnage
That trail you were wheeling on looks like my driveway!
How did you ever manage to break a tierod on such tame terrain!?
It usually takes an offroad trail <Like This> to break an OEM tierod!

Re: Arizona carnage
haha I was going to say the same thing. Come out to Colorado, take the trip up Storm Mountain =).
Sweet H2 tho....love the paint/tire/wheels combo.
Guys, I checked fabtech's site (Figure I should swap them in before I break my stock ones) and it says (For use with Fabtech Suspension System ONLY). ???
