Howdy folks.... been reading the forum for the past few days and just had to join in the fun.
Im looking to put some 37's on the truck but cant find good prices on the net. Just curious if anyone had any advice on where i could find some 37x1250x17 in either the goodyear mt/r or bfg m/t's. I live here in missouri and most wheeling around here is in the mud rather than crawling so i think the bfg's would suit me better however it really depends on price.

Those of us that have IROK Super Swampers will swear by them!
Get the radials, and not the bias ply. I had the 37"s on my H2 - loved them! And now have the 40"s on my H1, and have converted 3 other H1 owners.
My 2 cents.

how many miles do ya usually get out of the super swampers. i also do a little bit of highway driving so noise is also a small variable. although with the great roads here in missouri im not too sure it matters.
Also where did ya'll buy your super swampers at. Im really having a tough time finding good prices.

Check either 4wheeler or offroad magazine. They normally have pretty good prices. I believe 4wheel parts is having free shipping with the purchase of a replacement warranty if you buy 4 from them. SSR's @4wheel parts
I think the SSR is running about $279ea.
Can't beat that deal with a stick!

Swampers don't wear as well as the MT/Rs or BFGs, from what I've read. A while ago, someone posted a good comparison of the 37" mud tires - wear vs capabilities in mud vs rock, etc. I can't find it tho. Here's a previous rundown of some of the tires - if you search for "tires" you can come up with a ton of discussions from people who have owned the different kinds on the market.

I have the MT/Rs. I bought them last summer for $255 each, but they took a lot of work on the part of my sales guy to get them (I bought them through Discount Tire - price included mounting and balancing). From what I've heard, the shortage is still there. I've found the tires to be exceptional in the mud, about the same as stock on rock (but then again, it was wet rock), better on pavement than the ATs in wet conditions, and a bit noisier on the road - but not overpowering. The truck handles a bit looser, but I think it's a good trade-off.

I also have the MTRs and my first set I put about 30,000 miles on them before I had to replace them. The Tire Rack on the web, is also a good source to buy them.
