.
When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.
Condition/Concern:
Excessive noise with sunroof open
Recommendation/Instructions:
Should a customer complain of excessive noise with the sunroof open and the vehicle is equipped with a roof rack, the cause could be the positioning of the cross bars. Move the cross bars so that the forward-most one is at least 8 notches back from the front as indicated by the markings on the outboard side of the roof rack side rails. An arrow on the outboard ends of the crossbar indicates its position relative to the side rail.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
