I was looking into 20x14 fuel hostage (huge deep dish) with a 35/12.50/20 tire.
Here is my question, Will these wheels blow out my front end? I had an avalanche on 20x12 with a -50 offset and I had to replace both hubs, lower control arm, ball joints, bushings, idler and pitman arm....basically the front suspension. I was told that because the hummer is a 3/4 ton and built like a tank I would not have the same problems.
Is this true?
Once again I thank you for any help!
here is the wheel test fitted on the H2
now what you consider often is all up to you. maybe every 30k, 40k ,50k who knows.
you might go through ball joints and tire rods, but if you buy quality, you can reduce it
tire rods i would just face the fact you will need to replace them, so might as well buy some Krytonites HD ones.
your stock control arms will be fine, just replace the ball joints with MOOG ones.
hubs, you will need replacements, and to save you money i would learn how to do it, and get the tools for it.
i use Timke hubs, but also have a couple of hubs i bought cheap off ebay just in case. timke ones will run in the $200 range each, but i havent had any problems with mine now in 40k miles, and i have 37 inch tires on 20 rims
I think the Black looks better for some reason.
Then I had them mount two of those 20x14 Fuel Hostage
I decided that although the 20x14's look sick IMO, they are going to probably damage the suspension very very fast.
I went to another shop who reccomended me some 20x10's 2 crave nx-1 wheels they mounted them up on some Nito Mud Grapplers and it did look very nice. Not sure if it looked nicer because of the Nito aggressive tire design or the combo.
I did not get a chance to snap a picture of them on but, this is what the design of the wheel looks like.
The guy there said I would probably be safest with a 20x10 wheel.
Still not sure what direction to go but I am glad I tried on the 20x10 because it really has made me reconsider going that direction.
Any thoughts??

I ordered them today and hopefully should be here next week. I will run a toyo MT 35/12.50/20 and think it will be a great tire and wheel combo...time will tell.

the tire combo looks nice.
in all honesty, once you learn to change hubs yourself, i wouldnt worry about any tire/rim combo. run what you want.
i got hub swaps down to about 45mins.
i kinda like the pic looking at the back of the H2 and not being able to see the inside of the rim.. just looks empty..

FYI- I had to replace a good portion of my front suspension at 50k, no offroading and no crazy off-sets. OEM size tires/rims.
