This afternoon my engine light came on. It will flash for awhile, then stay on constantly. What does this mean? The manual says something about emissions.
The engine sounds as if it is shaking and/or sputtering.
My H2 is supercharged, has Borla headers, and Corsa exhaust~ all done by Lingenfelter.
Thanks.

Have the code pulled. Its probably a sticking injector or plug wire.

The check engine light on steady can mean a lot of different things, but when it is flashing, that means you have an engine misfire. This applies to all vehicles sold in the U.S. after 1996.

Thanks, I'm taking it in tomorrow to the dealer to have them take a look at it. Will it be okay to drive 30 miles to the dealership?

Before your start it up, check that all your spark plug wires are tight. You most likely have a mis on a cylinder or two.
Then, if it still sputters, drive with caution and watch your temp guage. If hotter than normal, shut it down.
I do not make it a practice of driving long with a check engine light, esp when supercharged.
