Day running parking lights
I was wondering if anyone knows if I can change my 2006 day running headlights to the day running parking lights. I think the parking lights looks allot better than the headlights. Is it as simple as changing the headlight switch? And if that's the case does anyone know the part number?
Thanks!

I asked almost the same thing last year. short answer, its not a simple switch never learned to change mine, its something in the build and harness I think. I do loke the parking lights better as well but learned to live w/headlights

Re: Day running parking lights
I have the day time running lights like the 07's. I want the daytime front marker lights like the first 06's have...

Any luck? I would just like to kill the DRL's completely, but I'm glad we have the override OFF switch at least.

Steve, do you have the amber parking lights as your DRL's, or do you have the dimmer headlights and parking lights at the same time? My early build 2006 has the amber parking lights as the DSL's, which I like. The kill switch on mine only works to turn off the 'headlight timer' when I turn off the engine.

Yes I have the earlier 06 with orange parking light DRLs. By turning the light switch to the left (and it springs back to center), the DRLs turn off and stay off until you stop the engine and restart the engine.

Re: Day running parking lights
I heard you can just pull a fuse to shut off the DRL forever. #39 I think. It's in the owners manual.

Re: Day running parking lights
I want to keep the DRL on. I just want to change it from the Headlights to the Front marker lights like is on the early model 06's....
