Stock Hummer Light Bar
For those of you with the light bar; how are the lights on the new limited edition light bar? Are they any good? I think I read somewhere that they are KCLights?

Re: Stock Hummer Light Bar
Are you talking about the roof light bar? If they're anything like the ones on mine, they're useless.

Re: Stock Hummer Light Bar
Doc, I would go with a low pro Gobi rack with PIAA1500XT's/ It's like daytime when you turn them on when it's dark out. If you're not wanting to go with a rack, you may consider one of the XTC light bars.

Re: Stock Hummer Light Bar
Thanks for the input, and yeah, that's the light bar I was asking about in the pics. I was thinking about getting some Hella's and mounting them to an oem crossrail. My original plan was for the XTC's, but I don't want to appear as if I'm trying to be like Dennis Are the Hella's any good? In the end, will probably go with the XTC, but gotta explore the options..

Re: Stock Hummer Light Bar
The factory light bar is barely usable. I upgraded the bulbs and it's still just meh. About the only thing it's good for is catching the reflection of bunny eyes at night.

Re: Stock Hummer Light Bar
Delta 10x light bar is awesome and will light up way beyond your headlights! Plus, it uses the stock bar. I saw one for $900 in the classified section where a dealer is selling off some of their inventory.

Useless?
I have them on mine and they shine all the way to the end of the hood.

I love my 1500XTs. I don't use them a whole lot. But they were great when we were towing rigs off Golden Spike at midnight.

For spotlighting varmints it's ok. Night wheeling it's ok. I always prefer more light though.

Re: Stock Hummer Light Bar
I'm thinking of Hella 450's or 550's. Anybody have experience with those? Any good?

Re: Stock Hummer Light Bar
I like the 550's. I have heard that the 450's create alot of glare on the hood, but this was for an H1. I dont know how they would work on the H2. Regardless, I have been really happy with Hella and would reccomend them to anyone.

Re: Stock Hummer Light Bar
I have the XTC light bar. Looks, and works, great. It's now 4 years old and still shinning.

Re: Stock Hummer Light Bar
I have them on my LUX 2006 and I love them - they do light up the hood which I think is great from the outside and inside. I am in Costa Rica - lots of fog and it does help big time.
