Default Changing the instrument pod??

I'm looking to replace my fubared instrument pod with a new one.Is there anything i need to know before i start pulling the old one out??.Is it just a simple swap out??.

I just replaced mine in a 2004, just needed an allen wrench and a 7mm socket, the units are plug and play if you have it programmed for your mileage and hours. I loosened the screws on the adjacent panels to make the instrument panel easier to get out, shouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes at best.

Thanks for that. It looks like i will have to have my mileage put back in,as the new speed reads zero.

Just one further question.Will the clocks need to come back out in order to reset the mileage???.
