Default Pulling a toy hauler

I have an 2006 H3 5cyl, do any of you pull a trailer or toy hauler? If so what is the size capacity, I know it goes by weight but what about size. The reason I ask is I pulled a car trailer this weekend and boy up those hills the poor H3 was struggling. Had my buddies laughing at me about how their wranglers would do a better job.

4,500 towing is max (a car trailer with a car would be above that)

My camper comes in at about 4,000 lbs heavy.
I had some trouble with the hills in Tx and NM. I was getting violent downshifts at 70/75 into 2nd and would rev at 5,500 rpms
65/70 about 5,000 rpms
60/65 about 4,700 rpms
55/60 about 4,3000 rpms
50 MPH steady at 4,000 rpms

I found if you get speed up when you enter the hill and lighten up on the gas most hills I can hold third at 60 Mph.

The worst hills 50 would hold in third and if really long it might drop to second at a drivable 4,000 rpms.

What size trailer is that? I would have to manually shift into 3rd up those hills.

Going to 3rd doesnt help ,it just wont hold third(in D or 3)
Just drops down prematurly ?

Its listed as a 18.9 foot.Its about 16 1/2 feet front to back (Model # FBS18.9)
Fun finder brand measures from ball to back.

My parents 19 foot is about 4 foot longer.
Aurolight measures from front to back of the camper .?
