Default CB antenna location ??

Has any one mounted a CB antenna directly behind the rear fender?
I was thining a small fire stick antenna with a quick relase?

I have the antenna on my roof rack now but low garages and trees are a problem.

There is a small "step" like place but I don't think there is metal behind it for mounting or grounding.

I popped a hole in the top of the bumper.. Just a little ways off from where you're wanting to put it and there's metal to support it..

I had a 4ft Firestik on the roof.. I wasn't impressed with it up there... Kept banging trees on trials and was noisey as all get out going down the road.. Replaced it with a 102" whip..!!
