Ok which one of you has had this?
since I live in Michigan its only fair I tell you have had ice problems. but within that this is not one of them times.
My H2 is an `04 Adventure and has only 32,000 miles, it has been making a weird clunk/pop noise under the drivers side floor. it like someone smacks it with a hammer while your going through twisting types of bumps. I don't know if its a cab mount or what?
FYI I already took a breaker bar and tightened all the lower control arm bolts and skid plate bolts. I couldn't find anything really loose.

There are quite a few threads on this noise and I dont recall what it was, thinking it was either the body mount bolts or something to do with the suspension. My 06 was doing it just before I traded her in for an 08. Use the search and you will find out what the issue is.

Re: Ok which one of you has had this?
My '03 did the same thing, only I would describe it as a muffled pop when I was on rough roads or offroading. The dealer said it was the floorboard, due to the softness of the body mounts and lack of chasis and suspension lubing.
It all started after an offroading excursion when I got lots of mud everywhere and had to get winched out. I just got out my old service record from '03 and it says they "secured all body mounts and cleaned, lubed and greased the chasis." It never did it again after that.

Cool, I'll have to try that when it warms up a bit. I was going to rip the rock rails and the landing skids off to see if they have been moving too.

Re: Ok which one of you has had this?
I do remember something like what your talking about on early models, fix was something about removing the battery and tray and, believe it or not, hitting and putting a large dent in the tin somewhere in that area, cant quite remember it exactly. It was two Hummers techs from California that isolated and cured this issure but was very rare. Met them at a Hummer training course in Indiana

Re: Ok which one of you has had this?
I had this problem on my '03. A buddy of mine who was a tech at a dealership said that they would loosen the bolts, install a plastic washer (the equivalent of a cutting a antifreeze bottle open and using that material) and reinstalling the mounts.
He swears he's done this bunches of times. Check on it and if so, you can do it yourself in probably about an hour.
HTH's,
Mark

yep, that's the issue I had. They reffered to this as "oil canning".

Re: Ok which one of you has had this?
well I cured it today!
I had to change the oil so I decided to strip off all the skidplates and clean and degravel all the pockets and so on. anyway I did what you guys said and loosened the cab mounts and retightened them, did all 10. then went through the chassie looking for loose bolts. then I found two bolts that had witness marks around them. they were on the cowl side support under the hood. they were just 6mm bolts but I tened to wonder if they could have been moving because the cab was shifting on the frame? anyways I greased all the hood contact mounts and then finished the oil change.
anyways my day started out peachy before I got to the H2 when my plow truck died in the driveway, I blew out the fuel line and was running again. so after I did all the neighbors I came back and did a lap around the back of my 8 acres. I did it more as a walking path, but the idea struck me to run the H2 down the trail since its full of frame twists and flex points where the suspension would get a full work out. any who I drove down the path and was squeak & pop free! ...I was delighted. thanks again for the sugestions.
