Default Just added an 05-06 Nav to my 03 H2 now about XM...

Just added an 05-06 Nav to my 03 H2 now I want to add a factory XM unit, does anyone know if I need a special wiring harness? I also want to add an Ipod and Bluetooth adapter.

Any ideas?

Thanks

How hard was this mod to do? Is it all plug and play? How much did it cost you?

So far I've installed a stock 05 Touchscreen NAV and replaced my old Alpine XM with an XM Direct kit that interfaces directly with the new NAV - no more RF stuck to the dash!. Now I'm searching for a good iPod adapter, and maybe a Bluestar, then a back-up camera, and mybe an Xbox 360...

I got the Nav #15230099 from Craigslist $400
I found a GPS antenna on ebay for $75

The GM XM Direct kit #XMDGMK from a local stereo shop, the guy who ordered it couldn't pay once it was installed so I got a deal - open box for $100

On a side note I also picked up an Edelbrock cat-back exhaust for $135!!!

Sounds great and was super-cheap!

Sorry, realized I forgot to describe how hard the mod was! There are some awesome instructions in the forums on how to install the NAV, I just printed them out and followed along, not hard at all if you've ever installed a car stereo beforeand have the right tools - socket set, screwdrivers and Allen wrenches. At this point I can take the center console out and pull the radio in the dark, I've done it so many times. The NAV was PnP and the XM Direct had a harness adapter that was pretty much PnP as well.

Have fun!

I live near the Edelbrock dist center so I did will-call and paid a muffler shop $90 to install it. I think Edelbrock is getting rid of some excess Cat Back stock because this is the same system that sold for $400 or so last year, you are buying it directly from the manufacturer so it's pretty much worry-free!
Had it on for a month now and no problems, sounds great!
