Default Power Steering Adjustment?

Sorry this is really out of place here but here goes. I bought a1996 firebird with suspension and handling package new in 96. lt has almost 50,000 miles. Steering effort has always been high, l don't mind it but TBW (the beautiful Wife) complains about high steering effort and her upper body is getting musclebound. Is there an adjustment for this? Thanks The Rebel

Once she gets this big from the steering issue then you have a problem. Until then I would say you are OK.

Could be the way the steering is, i mean power steering gets better over the years for new cars, so if its a 96 model it makes some sense that its a bit harder to steer. Probably the best way of going about this problem would just be to take it to the dealer and see what they have to say about it and then decide from there.

Found a site called west texasoffroad that tells you step by step how to modify pump to increase assist pressure. This car steers exactly the same as the day I Bought it ,its called handling and road feel and I find it excessive thats why l'm going to modify it. The Rebel.
