Default 2008+ Ipod/Amplifier integration

We just traded our 2006 in on a 2008 (with Nav/XM).... For the Amplifier I have my OEM-1 out of my 2006 which is the same box PAC suggests with the 2008 but Im guessing the harness is different on the 2008 head unit, anyone know if I can just order a new harness for my OEM-1?? I searched the PAC site and didnt come up with just a harness being availible (I may have been looking in the wrong spot).

Next is the ipod integration..... I had the Nucleus kit in my 2006 with Nav and while it made the occasional chime and made the dummy lights on the dash flash once in a while it was really nice having control of the ipod from the touchscreen head unit. I saw a nice thread here about the "ipod lockpick" unit, it looks like it yields some really nice control from the head unit. My quesiton is.... Is this the best product currently availible, anyone else using something different that may be better?

I used the search function and came up with the lockpick thread but came up dry on the amp harness question.

Thanks

Mike

Default Re: 2008+ Ipod/Amplifier integration

hi the 2008s have a bose amp already under the center console. For your ipod, pac makes one that retains some or all steering wheel controls thats what is says part # upac-gm29 here is a link http://www.www.pac-audio.com/product...&CategoryID=22 here is a link to coastaletech ipod lock pick http://www.coastaletech.com/GM_IPOD_LOCKPICK.htm here is a link to scosche ipod interface http://www.scosche.com/products/productID/562 I have been looking at them for a buds gm truck pac is a only one that retains some or all streeing wheel controls to work the ipod I think. With pac you plug in behind the radio with the other 2 you plug in at the xm radio mod. which is very easy it's right behind your glove box, ten mins to install. Their maybe more out their, these are the 3 I have looked at. Hope this helps.
