Re: Convertible Hummer
Yep, dumb as hell. If I was going to go through all that work I would just put one of those accordian sliding roofs on it, leaving the sides intact and stock looking. Unless you're on a step ladder you couldn't tell it was changed.

Unfortunately I don't know that it ever saw production beyond the one they showed at SEMA that year.
Here's some other photos:

Re: Convertible Hummer
I found it on Ebay.. I think is cool anyways ... Usually I dont like Mods but I love the combination between Big truck and Convertible .. The best of both worlds trucks&sports cars .
However I agree the slide roof looks better , notice this is a SUT so thats way they did it different ... Nice mod anyway ... credits to the old&new owner

Re: Convertible Hummer
im not much of a convertable guy, but i do like the Safari model.
as for the white SUT... it looks professionally done, and it shows. i think that matters. if it was just a hackjob.. idk....
i kinda like it, but dont care for the fact the whole roof is gone as well...i think thats why i like the Safari model better. the roof frame is still intact, where as this one they removed teh whole thing. this brings up questions about support on it. if they put in a roll bar and such just in case of a roll over...
