Question What's the Normal range?

What is the normal range that most of the H2's are suppose to shift out at (rpm's). It just seems as of late that mine (20K miles) has started whining a bit more. It is roughly at between 2-3K rpm's. I know that is somewhat normal for some cars, but unsure about the truck. Maybe I am just expecting a quicker shift. Thanks...Jamie

my H2 began shifting out of the odinary at around 25,000 - trans blew at 30,000. Just made it inside the warranty -

I don't think anyone wanted to say it - sorry!

Hopefully that isn't the case with yours. Good luck.

i notice as with all GM trannys that I have had when it is very hot outside you got alot more "noise" from the truck, not sure if it is the tranny or the cooling fan, but it just seems to wind out more and is noisier. I was told by the chevy dealer when I had my avalanches that it was normal. Never had a tranny problem (knock on wood) and the one Avalanche had about 80K miles on it.
