Has anyone mounted any other tires on the stock
rims? I'm thinking I may want a more highway
oriented tire with a bit better handling and a
little less noise. When I switched from Goodyears
to Michelins on my Wrangler, it was like a
different vehicle handling-wise. Just wondered if
anyone has had a similar experience with their H2.
Thanks,
Chewy

Who makes them varmints and what size are they? How do they handle on-road? Looks like a lot less rubber on the ground???
They sure are pretty!

I'VE POSTED THEM BEFORE, THEY ARE PRO-COMP X-TERRAINS 35X12.50 17 AND THEY ARE GREAT FOR OFFROADING. A LITTLE LOUDER ON THE ROAD BUT GREAT IN THE MUD,SAND AND SNOW AND ROCKS. HAVE PUT ABOUT 5,000 MILES SO FAR AND NOT BEEN DISAPPOINTED. GEARING STAYED THE SAME SO SPEEDOMETER IS ALSO STILL ACCURATE.

My dealer put on the Goodyear MT/R's 37X12.5R17 on a demo. They look fantastic, and just what I will be doing when my BFG's wear out.

Chewy:
Plenty of choices out there; here are my favorites, followed by others that I don't care for, but still fit the stock wheel:
(1) Good Year MT/R - USA
(2) Explorer ProComp MT [Cooper]- USA
(3) Explorer ProComp AT [Cooper]- USA
(4) Explorer ProComp XT [Cooper] - USA
(5) Parnelli Jones Dirt Grip - USA
BFGoodrich AT & MT - not American [French Owned] - these are gone as soon as my tread wears down!!!

SJ,
Are those in order or your preference?

Woogy:
The order has no significance, but I like ProComp and Good Year from the tires that I've run on various trucks before.
My pix of this weekend came out great, but they're low on the action meter. I'm hoping that Kelley or Ron snapped some action shots (and I don't mean brush clearing action)!
It was great meeting every one and I look forward to the next event.
My wife isn't so happy with the new pinstriping, but I'm calling them "character marks."

Mine came out with Mcquire's and I had some knarly ones (from backing out).
How does the 26th of July sound for Raines?
SJ, did you say you had the Pro Comps on your other truck?
