Hey Ya'll ON another string I brought up wind noise from my new Gobi roof rack. I had the 4" mounts and the farring installed. at 60mph it was getting loud. At 80mph it really howled. Gobi sent me the correct 2" brackets I orginally ordered. I installed them today and removed the farring. No noise at 60 and barely preceptable at 80mph and not noticeable at 100mph.
Also eliminated some most of the downshifting during road trip to riverboat.
Now just have to figure out which lights I will put on top.

I have the GOBI STEALTH RACK and love it! I also removed the fairing and almost all wind noise went away. I did not buy my H2 for quietness or great gas mileage so I am not concerned about either one of those. In fact if tomorrow my H2 only got 5 MPG I would still own it!

Yep lights add noise. BUt cool out weighs noise.. I could live with the noise I had with the 4" brackets.. I wanted the 2" brackets for the look.. I usually drive my 99 Suburban.. it has a wilderness rack with 7 lights facing forward and 7 rear.. Noise!.. Just turn up the stereo and try to always drive down hill.
I agree with Hummerman.. When I bought the H2 I wasn't concerned with mileage or noise. Shoot My Sub with all the toys gets a little under 9 mpg.. If I need mileage, I will buy an H2 escape pod, better known as a Honda Element!
Lights for H2.. I wish I could still get a Set of Dick Cepek lights.. THey had a unit that required you to be moving at least 5 mph to run ( Needed the air flow to keep it cool).. Well I will begin my search in the am at the 4 wheel performance shop then travel the web.

Will do .. Thought I wanted to put Hella Black magic on.. Someone on the forum said they wouldn't fit.. Looked like they would.. I will have to remeasure..
I have considered square or rectanglular lights..
I was told by my son not to put the same trianglular lights I have on top of my sub.
I have to agree on that one.

The light bar from SMA is low profile and looks pretty cool. http://www.h2source.com/201-110-1.htm
After looking at the SMA light bar again, I am now considering adding lights. Thanks alot Centerfire I never thought I wanted lights, but I am now thinking about adding some.

I guess when I suggested the low profile lights, I didn't know who I was talking to. I think you have room for at least two more lights on your Sub. You could put lights in the hood scoops.

No lights in hood scoop.. However, what you do not see is the 4 red and blues behind the grill, the Clear/red/blue strobes in the headlights and clear markers.... 2 of the Top Lights are also red/blues.. Actually I have 8 more of these lights sitting in the barn..
PS there are more on the back.. Pix attached..
You do not think these are low profile, stealth like lghts.

Does your Sub slow down to a crawl when you turn them all on? You must be the guy they call when they need light at a crime scene.
I like the rear bumper.

No never had a problem with the hamster slowing down.. Until I added the new alternator that is designed to max at idle the needle would drop dangerously low sometimes....
I've used the lights in the past when I do K9 search and rescue.. It does light up the night.

I was just kidding you. Are you thinking low profile lights or big lights like you had before?

Big Truck ( SUV), Big Rack.. Must have big lights. Perhaps I'm over compensating for something. Oh Well.
Actual I like the filled in look. in other words filling in as much of the front of the rack. Although I do need to keep the bottom of the light up apprx 1.5" above the lowe bar.. I need this room for the new 911Ep Light Stick.
I wanted the Black magic.. but I measured them and they are about an inch to tall.. Will keep looking.

Thanks.. it does get a number of comments when I stop for gas etc.. When asked what all the lights are for . I usually answer " I'm afraid of the dark>"
