Default Moving the hood cable

I fixed a minor annoyance with the H3. The cable from the hood release lever was too long. It looped down to my left foot and got in the way when I used the clutch.

What I did was move the cable so it loops up instead of down and secured it to a strip of metal with a zip tie. The hood release still works and my foot isn't blocked any more. Would have taken pics, but my camera broke on the trail last weekend.

Any other 5-speeds have this issue?

I notice that sometimes as my left foot gets higher up the clutch pedal, that my shoe will snag on the bottom part of the dash. Right next to the e brake. I have the rubber oem hummer mats and have learned the hard way not to drive in thongs. The back of the thong will catch on one of the ridges. Which in turn leaves your foot mashed on the gas.

Yes, I started to notice this. Didn't take the time to fix it yet, but I like your idea. THanks.

That one always confused me. We always called 'em flip-flops.
