Most Bad-Ass Real World H3 Shock Set Up
I am going to work to have my rig updated by one of the most knowledgeable Hummer Race set-up guys in the business. Here is a link to pictures of where I am headed with my H3 suspension...

I'm not an H2 hater. There is room for all of us in the Hummer world. Here is a link to Samco Fab H2 Pre-Runner set up. They are a custom fab shop. So, you should contact them if you are interested in any work being done.

After doing all that work they should have ditched the t-bars and gone with coil-overs.
Pretty damn sweet nonetheless

There is nothing really wrong with the Torsion Bar design, there are even a few Trophy Trucks out there with Torsion Bars that work very well. If you get good torsion bars, there is no real disadvantages over a coil over. I hear F1 cars use Torsion Bars, but of course they dont have much wheel travel
The Torsion bar puts the spring load into the center of the chassis, where the coil over would put the spring and the shock load into the front shock mounts, and put more bending load into the front of the frame rails. Torsions also keep weight lower in the vehicle.

Re: Most Bad-Ass Real World H3 Shock Set Up
So, I have had coils (1998 and 2006 Tacoma TRD, Sway A Way and Donahoe) and torison bars (1989 Nissan, Sway A way). And, I gotta tell ya, for the kind of wheeling I do, I was more impressed with the torsion bars... and I have to tell you that Sam is onto something here!! I'm not saying one is better than the other, but I can honestly tell you that you can feel the difference. And, yeah, I plan on talking with Sam in the next couple of weeks and see if we can't set something up to have my front end worked on. What better excuse to take a trip to my old stomping grounds. I don't plan on racing the baja, or jumping ceasars. But, the kind of desert running I am into lends itself to this type of setup. Plus, it sure looks good.
