Default ? on high-lift jacks?

X-treme Hi-lift jacks? http://www.hi-lift.com/products/xtreme.htm

Why are these called extreme, but max out at 5K# compared to the original two that jack up to 7k#? What can it do that the others can't?

Also, what is the finish on the original two black and red ones? Are they painted or powdercoated?

I ended up calling them today. All their jacks are rated for 7k#s. It's kinda confusing since they do not shows the rating for jacking on the extreme verion - only the rating for other uses at 5K#.

So, one other question - Why doesn't Trail Duty have this Extreme Hi-Lift? Is there something we need to know, as to the reason why they are not carrying it?
