Default missing front grill question

Ok. I don't have any pictures but hope my description is good. I have the upper chrome front grill with a chrome upside down "U' shape attached. There are 2 holes on either side of this "U" shaped chrome piece. Then you see my radiator. Is this where a lower grill would bolt in? Or is something not right. I'm looking to put a bolt in billet grill or something but am not sure what's up. Plus it's crappy looking without a grill. Thanks and I'll try and take a picture tomorrow if my description sucked!

If I am understanding you correctly you should see 4 slots that the "lower grille" snaps into, 2 at the top and 2 on the sides. They will be for the clips in the pic below.

Edit: mine is cut out for the grille guard

Hmm That's what I'm missing but I was seeing 2 threaded holes on the sides left and right. Looks like they are right in the painted part of the front. I need to take a picture. Plus where the front tow hooks were I have a bolted in extension tube on each side.
Geez! Here is the link to the ebay ad I got it from. Please take a look at the front pictures. Also point out anything else that might look wrong. I'm such an H2 Newb!!!

The 3 yellow ovals are where 3 of the 4 "lower grille" mounting areas are. The 1 yellow circle is 1 of 4 to 6 mounting holes for a front grille guard. Mine uses 6 to mount the guard, the 4 you can see on your truck plus 2 hidden in the vertical slots of the grille.

Ahh!!!! Thanks you for clarifying this. Now all I need is a stock grill. Any ideas? I did a search and came up short. I really wanted a billet grill but most seem to bolt on top of the stock grill. Thanks and let me know!!!

One place to order parts from is GM Parts Direct
http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/catalog/frameset.cfm
Cost through them is okay, it is the shipping that they get ya on

There are some others also https://www.hummer-parts.com/ for example.

Someone else may post and tell you of other places to gets parts at also.

Good luck, Ed

I also would recommend GMpartsdirect.com, they do have very good prices and I agree the shipping is what hurts. I have never had any issues with them.
