new member - some questions
hey all,
been reading for awhile - finally signed in
2006 h2 sut all black (in progress?)
quick questions (you guys seem to have been through it all atleast once)
1. someone gave me aftermarket tail light guards (black ofcourse), i think i like the GM factory ones better- any opinions/experience?
2. ordering black grille - tough to install?
3. have seen stock rims powdercoated black (prob. what i am gonna do) - what about the plastic "chrome" center cap (spraypaint?)?
4. been working out bugs from an ipod install (stock radio w/ 1 cd and xm), and an xm to sirius switch kit - any exp.?
thanks in advance,
bill

1) I have the stock factory ones, and I like them because I needed one more thing on the truck to say Hummer
2) grill is extremely easy to remove/install
3) personally, if you are going to wheel your truck much, don't pay to have the powdercoated. Just use a rattlecan and paint them yourself. I had mine PC'd and it's not worth it. Also, I don't run the center cap and use lug nuts that cover and protect the threads.
4) the xm thing works flawlessly and is a relatively easy plug and play thingy, I have it and works great.

Re: new member - some questions
assume you have the nav and are running the sirius through the xm band on your factory radio. I belive there is only one input in the stock radio, and your sirius is probably using it. I was told that I would need to get some sort of adapor/thing???( like $350) to allow for the sirius, I-pod, and a back up camera to all run through the stock radio/nav.
This could be a total crock, but I have used these guys for several years and so far so good. Hope this helps. Oh and Welcome!

they work in series. The adapters that come with each item will allow for another item to work and the radio recognizes it
