Default Whipple Supercharger

I am thinking about pulling my whipple charger off my truck. Please let me know if you are interested and what you think it's worth. We could swap stock for whipple. The water pump has to be swapped as well due to the special fitting.

It was on the truck when I bought it. It make is run like a scalded dog. I had an S2000 try and beat me from a red light and I kept up with him to about 70 when I let off. So the point I am trying to make here is that I normally drive like a grandma so I really dont need it and would rather get some 37s and pay some bills.

I did not get the programmer so that would have to be purchased. I believe a new unit from Whipple is around 400.

After this weekend I think I am going to keep it. We drove up to Tenn this weekend from Atlanta. Headling through Chattanoga, it really made a huge difference driving through the mountains on the I-75. It's times like that when I really appreciate what it does for the performance of such a heavy truck.

This is so true. When I first went to 37's, it was a night and day difference on the amount of power that was lost just from pushing a bigger tire. I would keep it if I was you, they just won't run as well without them especially if you add any tires bigger than stock.

Not to mention, if you did sell it, you would want to go back, and to go back would be a $4-5K decision. Not worth what you would get for it to sell it.

man, I was about to raise mine 2.5 F and 1.5 back and put on some 37x12.5x20 from a 35x12.5x18. Im usually only offroad at the deerlease. The power driving around daily is that noticable? Im reconsidering now

Just on 35s, it takes very little foot in the throtle to make it go. It feels like it should have had that much power from the factory. I am not sure I can live without it now. The mountain trip changed my mind. If you can find a whipple kit, I would grab it.

All around driving is a f*cking dog w/ 37+ on stock gears. Literally feels like you removed 15-20% of the Stock HP & Torque.

I think I am going to bail on the idea of 37s and stay with the 35s for my next set. I can't get my BFG mall terains to wear out.

change the gears out and I'm really watching that gas gauge go down then? Thanks guys, I think i'm still going to do the leveling kit but gonna stick with 35s. I drive too damn much and even though I only pay 40% of my gas, loosing 20% of my power just sucks for and everyday driver. after 2013, my company will make me take my H2 off the co. car package, so I plan on picking something else up for everyday by then, so maybe on my next set off tires, I'll go with the 37s.
Thanks again

Good move. Even after going to the 37's, I had to regear and then chip it to get it to run somewhat normal and not downshift up and down when on the highway. Just bumped up to 40's a few weeks ago and now I am back where I started when I first got the 37's, looking for just a little bit more power. Having driven it on stock 35's for at least a couple of years, there's just no getting back to that stock power without some serious mods (gears, chip, supercharger, etc.).

Looking for a good supercharger actually, anyone got suggestions? Was kind of looking at that one that Predator makes with the liquid cooling, up for suggestions and feedback though....

Bim,

when you had the Truxx leveling kit, Were you happy with the height in the rear. I have stock springs and my sparetire is still mounted in the back of cab from factory. I see some kits have 2" spacers in the back. Also, what is your take on picking a kit up on Ebay. I see alot of them on there with lifetime warranties, using pwdercoating, ect. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with some of these ebay kits.

Thanks!
